I make my own Christmas cards each year, which consist of a family photo. I've always thought that rounded corners give a nice finishing touch. Some years I've paid to have them rounded by whomever I ordered from; most years I've used a little "hand rounder" that lets you do one card, one corner at a time. Our daughter got married in the fall, and I hand-rounded 250 wedding programs this way! Don't know why I never thought to look for something a bit more "beefy." Well, this Christmas I got smart. After purchasing this rounder, I was able to complete 250 photo cards in probably 5 minutes, as I could do a stack at a time. This device is definitely a step up from anything I've used in the past. I do agree that some sort of "catch" would be nice for all the little cut corners, but I remedied my own issue by purchasing a small sheet pan to keep underneath. I'll admit that buying this item was probably overkill for the times per year that I will use it, but in my mind, it was worth the price.Once you get the hang of setting up the corner sizes it does a pretty decent job.I love how this can cut a lot of corners at a time, but I do wish the blade was a little rounder. It can leave a minor error if not placed just write. I now know how to manipulate it to do what I need. I also wish the came with something to catch the paper trimmings.I love how it comes with an extra blade and how sturdy it is.The product is very sturdy. However, the support and availability of other blades for the Ironwalls corner rounder is non-existent. The instructions for this device is not very good. The instructions states “Contact is for other blades. “ However, there is not any contact information. Where can I purchase other blades for the Ironwalls corner rounder?I like the cutting ability and clean cuts. It took fine tuning on how far the card stock moved in using the guide plates with the 1/4 (that was already in the unit) blade but when I changed to the 3/8 blade it presented a challenge with limited directions. They don’t clearly explain that simply changing the blade means that the bottom plate that meets the blade must also be removed and turned around so that both reflect the radius of the cut. Directions name parts but no illustrations exist on parts that need to be removed and which screws with hex keys used.Difficult to align and get the cut that you want. Once you have the guide plates in place, tightening the screws will cause them to shift. This makes this process nearly impossible to get right. It should have gauges or a grooved insert or something that prevents this from happening. Otherwise, it would be a nightmare every time it needs to be adjusted.Work great . Cut away corners come out clean.A deflector would be nice to keep the corners from flying everywhere.It is built to last , very heavy duty.
